WHY OUR CLASSES ARE SO EFFECTIVE

 

Our Inferno Hot Pilates Class utilizes High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).  Research shows that HIIT type of training burns of 20-30% more calories than other types of exercize (read more).

When you do HIIT training, you burn off extra calories for 24-48 hours AFTER your workout.  This is called the EPOC effect.

With our classes you work every muscle in your body. The heat helps to prevent injury, detoxify the body and accelerate increases in aerobic performance.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

 

  1. Write down your fitness goals.  Spend time each day visualising the body that you want to have.  Taking time out to focus on your goals will help you stay motivated and work harder.
  2. Measure inches not pounds.  Step away from those scales. Muscle is heavier than fat, so as you build muscle and tone up, you might find your weight doesn’t actually go down but your dress- size does.
  3. Eat well.  To burn fat, you need to create a calorie deficit.  This means that, if your weight is currently stable and you continue to eat the same amount but start to exercise more, you will lose inches.  If you a bit less or eat healthier and add more exercise, you will lose even more.
  4. Don’t give up.  Persistence is key.  You can get results quickly if you work hard.  Remember that big changes are truly possible to create.  It wont all happen over night but if you persevere you will be amazed at what you can achieve.
  5. Get enough sleep. Being over tired can make your body store fat.
  6. Keep on top of your stress levels. Cortisol the stress hormone is another culprit for making your hold onto those unwanted pounds.
