Yin yoga is a slow paced yoga style, practiced without heat.   The class focuses on the connective tissue of the body, working with ligaments, tendons, joints and facia.  Working these parts of the body, which are overlooked in most other forms of exercise, makes yin yoga the missing piece of the puzzle for holistic to maintaining optimal physical health.   The practice also works on opening energy meridians to enhance the flow of chi around the body.

This gentle class creates a magical experience of relaxation and peace with a focus on completely letting go.  There is no effort, just surrender to the stretch as you empty your mind and allow the posture to happen.

Research indicates that yin yoga may help develop mindfulness while reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
